hey guys. took my car out to summit in akron to get strapped to a dyno. tests are as follows: 227.4 hp at front wheels @ 4,550 rpm. and 217 lb ft of torque @ 3,750 rpm. man this car is quick as f#[email protected] now. keep looking for new posts on new performance updates. the hp gained is from an hks ball bearing turbocharger, hks cold air intake hks downpipe and hks intercooler. nice gain.

how much was the turbo? and also,is it worth to get one for an atx V6? yeah, was it a 2nd gen or 1st?


NGK PLugs and Wires, K&N filtercharger, and Racing Design Universal Muffler.

Judging by the fact that his HP is peaking at "just" 4550RPM, I'll guess he's got a 1st gen turbo and its 12-valve head :)

it is indeed a first generation mx6 turbo. the boost for now is a mere 10 psi even. of course a 5 speed so i can pretty much take all those ricers out there.

Wow. Just 10PSI and you're up at 280+ crank HP? You've got to have other mods on that thing besides what you listed above... If so, can you list them? If not...<*jaw drops to the floor*>..."wow" again.

Also, can you scan the plot(s) and put them in the Pic forum? I'd love to see them.

Wait a minute...

Hmm. Something is wrong here. When I said "280+ crank HP", I calculated that based on 227.4HP and an 18% drivetrain loss: 227.4/0.82 = 277.3HP.

But then I started looking more closely at the numbers. You report a peak torque of 217 ft-lbs at 3750, which works out to about 155HP at 3750. But then, by 4550, you're making 227.4HP, which would require 262.4 ft-lbs at 4550.

Can you clear this up Remsmx6? Do you have the plots?

And is this a kill story... this should be in PM1

and why would you get such a big gain out of running barely higher than stock boost? nice gain my a$s
