Hi all, I want to get some insight of what there is to know about my car good and bad.

Not only that but what I should do to maintain it.

Ok I have a 1993 MX-6 LS no need to go into cycl. and that stuff you guys already know.
My car has 115K miles seemed to have been highway miles. The car is really a cream puff. Was well kept.

I did read some topics and problems ppl had. Like Sunroof, yeah mine needs a push to move.

But over all I really couldn't see or find anything wrong with the car. Yeah ppl say its made poorly but it seems like a nice car.
I'm really interested in maintaining it so Ican have it a long time form now.

I won't get into modding just yet but yes i'm open to ideas. How big a rims can you put on these ?

Thank you all for your help.

Hello and Welcome to the forum! Most of those questions can be answered simply by searching instead of waiting. These cars are pretty good as long as you take care of it well even when they are modded. As far as wheels, you can go up to size 19.

Have fun.

Whoa I wonder if I will get or have problems

I saw you noted a Power steering leak. Would I be experiencing the same thing because the car squeeks when I turn the steering wheel.

Alos sometimes it seems like things are flying around in the car.

What do you guys suspect?

Do you think letting the Mazda look at the car they will be able to fix alot of these problems?

Thankx guys.

Dont get mazda to check the car unless money is no option, they are the most expensive normally. Find a good mechanic and if you have any problems have them check it out. There are many ways to save money on the parts mazda might want to replace if they find something wrong.

Mazda Dealership probaly not an option then.

Yeah, i'm a college student and Mazda I saw it already high prices. I called and asked if they made keys, the mechanic said yes. $15 to get a copy. He then told me ppl had problems gettin keys made @ places like hardware stores that the keys don't work. Well my colleague said that Walmart makes good keys and if they dont work you can refund the amount. We go to Walmart first and make a key copy for $1 and it worked. I was a bit skeptical because the key didn't all the much look like the original, but hey it worked so I got another copy for backup purposes and it worked.

Is it alright to use these keys?

Another question how do I change the rear window brake light?
My friend and I saw to bolts soldered on, it looked like it was holding the light down. What model of bulb does it use?

My car has 115 when I bought it I recently bought as you know what are the intervals for oil and other servicees I should do ?
Does Mazda do a better job on cars than say Pep Boys or Exxon ics or small time mechanics?

Thx guys.
