Quick question what is the easiest way to tell what year and engine is, the 02 sensor would be my guess but where are they located. I have a 93ls but before i knew anything about our cars about 2 years ago i got a donor engine from a 97ls with 29,000 on it, at least thats what the mechanic documented in the papers. But my ecu reads DKLO1D KLO1 ( TN079700-3523 12V) could i be running a 93 ecu on a 97 engine. Thoughts , complaints, comments welcome!!!!!!

You cant be running a 93 ECU on a 97 engine unless your mechanic did alot of messing around with the wires, its possible but not likely. Its probably a 93-96 engine. Look around for 4 o2 sensors. If it has 4 then its a 97+, if it has 3 its a 93-96.

I guess not

Now that i think about it it might have just been a rebuild with the new engine parts so it would not make any diff with my same ecu
