So I just went to put a new oil presure switch in. After taking the old one out and kind of wiping the area down, I tried to start threading in the new one. New one wasn't threading in for some reason?! So I shined the light up there and F*** ME! there's now a chunk missing from the housing where it screws in!! Whether the old switch was leaking or not, the housing that it goes into was cracked and now that I released the pressure by taking the old one out, it had more then enough space to simply fall out. Now I have half the the threads missing from the housing. So, my question is, does anyone have any idea where I could get this piece?? I've got it removed from the engine (with the oil filter attached and everything). It seems like a perfectly replaceable part but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe I just don't know the correct name?

HELP!!

I can just imagine what it would cost from them! Right now I'm getting it welded up, then I'll put a new 1/8 pipe tap in and see if it holds. It should, but if it doesn't I'll have to get a new one. But I did see, now that mine is cracked in half, that they don't give you a lot of room to tighten it. You could easily bottom the switch out before the threads ever get tight. I don't know why they even bothered with a pipe thread instead of a regular thread that you could just tighten like a bolt.
