Hi all,
I thought I'd ask... I have a four channel amp and ever since it was installed I've been confused on how make the sound come up quicker on it. Ya see my back is hooked into the head unit so signal gets to those speakers first, so my radio is play low through the back and then the amp kicks in 3 or 4 seconds later and the volume suddenly increases by 4.... I know I could just route everything through the amp and then everything would sound off at once, but what I'm really after is to get a quicker response from my amp. Any ideas car install people?

Do you mean a delay for the amp to actually power up, or a delay in the sound, like an echo? Your wording confused me....

If it's the first, than yeah - amp turn on delay prevents sudden power spikes on power up and saves your speakers a lot of stress. 3 or 4 seconds of turn on delay is a small price to pay for not toasting the speakers!!

If it's a delay in actual response - that's freakin' weird, and I wouldn't know where to start, unless you ahev some sorta DSP hooked up....
