Well I'm not sure if he was a 89 or a 90. But I dont think it matters.

His mods were, chip, 2.2 turbo back, aftermarket cams/ manifold (i think), 17's, Intake, and Others I cant remember. It was a 5 speed too. 12 p.s.i.

Well I was talkin to this dude on the internet and we finally met up. So we started out just drivin around and we hit this back road and he pulled over to the left side so I was like alright, I wont win, but it will still be fun. Well we started to go and in first I just took off like crazy, and we stopped when I was just about half way through 3rd. He was like 2 car lenghts behind, but I'm pretty sure his ass was coming back up on me. I was freaking out when I pulled ahead lol. But we had to stop because It was a dead end road. Were gonna race again, and hopefully get goin a little faster, becuase I know he will take me. Just didnt figure that I wouldn't even get a start on him. I raced another Probe GT, a while back and goin into 4th I only had a c/l on him and all he has was pacesetter exhaust. But he really knows how to drive, so maybe thats why. :shrug:

Well wish me luck tomorrow. I'll get smoked I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, I was almost afraid, but I have tons of buddys at my school to back me up, plus I have a golf club in the back of my car. Its all good lol

Good run, sounds like you had a good time...and you have a golf club in the back of your car, you golf? or just carry one for protection? I thought i was the only person who golfed around here.

holds up trunk, damn spoiler, and the hood, I took the prop off and lost the screw lol. Plus I will beat someone with it if they try and touch me.

Well the stock turbo is good til at least 15 or 16 psi. Usually if I'm talking to a guy and we agree to race I'll set my manual boost controller for 16. Simply because of the 1g's sleeper nature, and no one really takes them seriously...therefor they get no mercy. :D

If you see him again, ask him who did his chip, Where he got his 2.2 inch (WTF?) O2 housing, and why he said cams when he only has one.

Also ask if he has a log style manifold, or a tuned length.

Sounds to me like you raced a ricer talking smack. His mods just don't add up.

Besides, even on just 12 psi he would have absolutely demolished you with just nothing else changed.

I was beating stock 2nd gens when I was stock by just a hair...and that was at 7.3 psi.

I guess I put Cams instead of cam...

He would take me in the long run be we really didnt race far, and I know he would have caught up if we could have kept goin... But like I said we didnt race far. And by 2.2, he could have meant 2.25....I dont know....

Yeah, that'd have to be why he didnt launch very well lol My other friend that was with him said that when he shifted into second his neck about broke lol

Hmmm. My car doesn't shake at all when I shift, unless you count going back into the powerband and throwing the passenger into the rear seat....

Yay for upgraded turbos. Boo for stock fuel management and bypass valves...

A GFB hybrid should keep my turbo spooled up better between shfts:)

Funny you said that, I have always told him to get a different turbo, and he didnt listen, and so he told me yesterday that he blew it.

I don't know your mods, but you've talked about being fast...just out of curosity, what do you have?

KLZE
P & P IM
65 mm TB
Full custom exhaust, 2.5 inch
Testpipe
CAI
Independantly controlled VRIS
Plugs and wires (If you call those mods)
Custom machined UD pulley. (It sucks. Don't make your own. :sigh: )
probably some little things I'm not thinking of

On the list
Clutch (Mines shot)
MX3 flywheel (sitting in my storage room)
poly motor mounts. (Not sure on inserts or whole mounts :shrug: )

Not the fastest car, but better then stock for sure. I can't pull decent times with my clutch right now. So it's a moot point to argue about being fast. It has the potential to be relatively fast.

The other cars. (If anyone cares.)
87 Chevy Sprint (all ghetto fab mods)
Upgraded fuel pump.
Generica perfomance clutch. (Can't even think of the brand.)

No idea. I just drive it the way it was built. Amazingly fast. Has been in the 11's on several occasion. Very seldom by me. I suck driving it.

Yeah, though the clutch is a MAJOR issue. Actually I've hardly driven the PGT since Epping since I am now bordering undrivable. Anyway, I was capable of running mid 15's (Stock times, I rule @- ). The last run I did was a 17.78. It would have been decent until I shifted into 3rd and the car stopped accelerating, but the engine didn't. It was bad. I probably shouldn't have even put it on the track in the condition it was in. But I guess I didn't think it was nearly that bad. And I chalked the first 15 up to poor driving. Same on the 2nd. And then it became painfully obvious that the clutch was toast. I ran better on the 03. The Sprints run better. And sadly I can admit the Camaro's run worse. (18.98, don't ask)
