Its a cool gadget. Fun to use. Supposedly slightly inaccurate, but if nothing else, it can be used for comparative testing. One car VS another. Before/After any mod. Different shift points.
A friend bought one REAL cheap from some old guy who used it a few times. My car is in the shop for the body kit install, but I tested my girlfriend's stock '00 Civic EX with me and a passenger and managed a 9.36 second 0-60 time. Quarter mile runs were 16.4 and 17.3 though neither run was on an entirely straight stretch of road.
They cost $139.99.
BFGoodrich is giving them away with the purchase of 4 selected tires from 6/15-8/31. The Comp T/A is one of the selected tires.
They are very very accurate. With in 1/100 of a sec for the 0-60 and quarter mile. You can't get much closer then that.
