i had to replace my radiator, water pump and number of belts and costed me about $1500.
now, i got this car 6 months ago and the mechanics said it was alright. but i'm wondering is it possible for all those things to go wrong in the period of time? just like that?

hi,

judging from the radiator and water pump going more or less during the same time, it can be the coolant wasn't changed that much or never...I don't know. I know that not changing the coolant can cause premature failure to the water pump. The belts, will be fine since they are changed.

Owning a car....

One of the first and hardest lessons I learned when I got my first car, was that anything can happen almost. $1500 sounds like a lot for the items, but I assume you had a mechanic do the work, so it may be around the right price. Our cars are pretty reliable though and will take care of you if you give her proper and timely maintenance.
