I am a newbie when it comes to cars so please consider that this is coming from a dumbass.

I found this 1994 black mx-6 that someone lowered. Now I wanna know would lowering a car pose a chance of ripping out the underside when I go over speed bumps, pot holes,etc ??

It depends on how low you drop the car. When you go to low, you have to avoid the speedbumps by driving over them diagonally, and improvising from time to time. But, yes it does make the ride more "rough" and you do run the risk of denting an exhaust pipe if you run over a speed bump or other obstructions. But that's a risk people are willing to take.

the best you can do is lower the car about 1" nothing more than that

Looks like he's got 18" wheels and has lowered it 1.25 with intrax or H & R. That's cool, he may experience rubbing - that is the tire rubbing against the fender when he hits a bump now and then.

Either way..... that looks damn nice...... but then Im kinda partial to it seeing as 18s and Eibachs will be the setup im running in about 2 weeks..... ha ha
