Hi all,

i've recently did the CAI mod and now boost cut comes on more often now on WOT. I'm still running stock boost with an exhaust and filter (10psi)

just some questions, is the VAF mod valid for 89 models? ( I read somewhere that its only for post 89 models (90-92)
also, the link dub_festiva posted up doesn't work anymore, so is there any other place i can read up on this?

The VAF mod is dodgy at best...

For your level of mods I'd suggest a chip re-tune, for a cost effective way to get this done... PM me

there are actually two different VAF mods.

one removes boost cut (which has side effects) and one to lean it out a LITTLE..

the leaning it out one can be found on performanceprobe.com, and i cant find a link to the other one anymore. but seriously, dont do it. it messes with your cruize control and everything (or so ive heard)

I have the mod done, and i have not had any problems in any manner. The cruise control and all other things are all bs storys. tell em all to wake up to themselves. This mod can be done to an 89 model. and it has no effects on any other component on the car.
