Radiator Leak

Using the search, I found 1) there is a tendency of the radiators to leak right at the imprinted name on the plastic top pc. 2) trying JB Weld just doesn't do it and 3) make sure the parts guy sells you a turbo radiator and not the LX/DX one.

The NAPA guy says they carry only one that covers both but it is a 2-row which is ok for the turbo. It's a Modine 2275 and it measures about 1 1/4" thick at the rows which seems to be what is in there now.

Maybe somebody can confirm I have the right one b4 I put it in tomorrow?

And I figgered I'd replace upper/lower hoses while I'm at it..

hey , i bought Modine two row (cant remember the number ) at Applebee Radiator shop for 110 bucks . They are on Philips between JTB & Baymeadows.
How much they want at Napa ?
Modine does indeed sell the same radiator for the turbo and nonturbo models, and the model number is indeed 2275. (check out this link on modine's site for the application and spec catalogs) The specification catalog shows that the 2275 is a 2-row, so they probably just figured they could use the thicker turbo radiator for both applications. (apparently some non-turbo mx6/626 had a 1-row radiator)

I have the feeling that all of the 90-92's have the thicker 2-row radiator from the factory, because my 91 GT factory radiator doesn't look any different from my old 91 DX's.

$88.99 @ www.rockauto.com

I've ordered a lot of stuff from them, Really fast shipping, and always what I ordered. They are also cheaper than any parts store around.

That's OK if you have a Simca Vedette or a DeSoto Adventurer, but there seem to be no listings for a Borgward Isabella or a Riley 1.5 (never mind an NSU Prinz).
 I love how that site stocks the strangest parts for those obscure cars. They have no shortage of brake boosters for those old DeSotos and Sunbeams, and plenty of windshield washer pumps for your late model Maserati. But if you need an oil filter for any of the above, you're outta luck.
Hey Iggypop... NOW you tell me ;-)

NAPA charged me 134.88. I got a similiar price from the local "discount" auto Parts, so I went with it... just needed to get it fixed...
