i agree. i had the same problem when i put my new speakers in, but i took a small amount of the foam surrounding that was around the speakers on the front doors, and wedged it inbetween the casing on the brake light and viola. it works great.
I have a similar problem in the back and have found out that it is not the back light at all, I found this out by removing the light for a minute, but it turned out to be the back plastic vibrating against the sheet metal wall in front of the trunk. I have done everything I can think of to isolate the buzz and stop it, but alas it remains.
I have the same problem you have i can remove the light and the buzzing and rattling reamins! I work at a stereo shop but i dont have the patience for my own car, but i'm sure i'll figure something out very soon! I'll get back to you
