FAQ needs help. We have the content, and the body of knowledge... but we don't have any effective way to present it to the user - either new or vet.

Instead of patching it all together from the fragmented bits that we have - I'd like to rebuild a FAQ altogether, in easily used and printed PDF format. (please submit to me in an editable format, however. We will create the pdf's and watermark them appropriately)

I have no problem referring to and including information from some of the excellent write ups out there (such as the Leska write ups) BUT - with pic links long since dead, the write ups often lead nowhere. If you have these saved anywhere, please forward them along. Thank you to the several members who have already forwarded along what they had.

Please submit any pics and the associated write up (if its not yours) to me, and we can start rebuilding the FAQ to properly represent the body of information this site contains.

The functioning write ups with pics that we do have - if you are the thread originator, I'll be contacting you with any edits, additions i might need, as well as placing them into pdf formats.

I'll be fielding as many of these as i can, myself, but all help is appreciated, and indeed necessary for us to have a usable FAQ within a reasonable time period. Please note, MOST of the categories below already have a write up somewhere. I'm just using this as a checklist of sorts, and making sure we use the most updated and complete information, and most importantly, have actual pics, that we can attach and host HERE so we do not rely on the comings and goings of external hosts.

Wow! Sounds like a seriously major effort! Sadly, I don't think I've got all that much to offer other than encouragement.

A write up on replacing the power steering rack (which is a fun job) would be nice... I'd be more then happy to help with that as I figured out a nifty way to get the rack out without touching the subframe.

Well, my fiancee's sister overheated the engine and blew the head gasket, so you know I'm going to be taking lots and lots of pictures of the head gasket job...

I know EXACTLY what you need....

...and how to do it. I'm a database administrator :) You guys have helped save my mistress so many times it is the least I can do to return the favor. My fiance' says my car is my mistress and her name is Cristine and it HATES her. lol

You need data mining. It would take some doing with site permissions and trust. I'd be willing to submit my creds to you GP. Get in touch and we'll see if we can work out the details. I'd do it for free but need select permissions directly to the backend database and could directly export to any format you would like. Ask admin of site for backup of database, easiest way.

Might want to include:
1) How to get the air out of the coolant to fix the high idle, pretty common if you have had any sort of coolant related issue.
2) ATX tranny cooler install
3) Valve cover gaskets (especially rear) Nevermind you have that
4) ZE install needs it own FAQ, I recently did a writeup on how to fix the constant fan issue in the 94+ models if you want to add that.
