Hey guys, i was just wondering if there are any steps i need to do when removing the spoiler on my 2G MX6? I've heard before that the screw holes have to be filled with a special filler of some sort so it doesnt rust.. im not too sure, but it'd be great if someone can just clear up the things i need to do.

Thanks :)

Step 1) Remove the 6 Screws holding the spoiler down.
Step 2) Remove the wiring for the third brake light.
Step 3) (can be done differantly, but I did it this way) Apply Fiber Glass on the inside of the spoiler to block the holes.
Step 4) Cover up the holes with Fiber Glass filler or Bondo. To your discretion.
Step 5) Sand/Primer/Paint

ohh okay. Thanks a lot for the info :)
On a side note, when doing the fiber glass part on the inside of the spoiler, take your time to do it right so it doesn't bubble out. And just to let you know, Fiber glass isn't the fastest drying product, I let mine sit for 2 weeks before moving on to the next step.
sorry for the bump of old thread but i got a question.

I want to remove my spoiler and put dynamat or cloth under it so that it stops rattling to my bass (its probly 60% of the rattle of trunk).

Has anyone ever done this? What products would you recommend?

Thanks
^Might get a better response in the audio section
