Hi. I noticed on my mx6 when driving : I drive the car between 2,5 to 3500rpm , I am in eg, 4th gear at 3000rpm I let go of the gas and let car coast a bit , I then touch the throttle and the rev counter dial jumps down very slightly and back up, it happens in a split second, it does not affect perf in anyway or the actual rev of the car, it jumps down about 250rpm and then back up, I replaced my plug leads with the genuine Mazda part, but it still does the same, has anyone had the same problem?Itsnot serious but can someone tell me if its something to rectify immediatley. It only happens at those low revs

I have the same problem on my first gen

When I'm in 3rd gear (MTX), and accelerating with the engine revving around 2000RPMs, the tach dial jumps up to 3000 or down to 1000. For a second or so in rapid concession totally about 5 secs. However the engine sound stays consistent. This doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally. I figured that the tach sensor (is there such a thing?) or the gauge itself was crapping out.

RPM Guages

Probably a loose connection if it is bouncing so much. Or not a good ground
