Just wanted to see what everyone else thought...

My car idles rough when stopped at a light (even more when A/C on)...friend recommended that I replace the Fuel Filter...what do yall think? Any other reasons for this?

Also, when I'm on the freeway...and get to about 75mph...the car shakes...but when I hit 85 it smooths out! Could this be a sign of need for new tires/wheels. (Still stuck on factory rims...getting ready to go to 16" or 17" wheels)

Thanks for your help!

Is your idle erratic and have you done a tune up lately? Try pulling codes. I had rough idle and after reconnecting both air sensors on the intake and cleaning the TB it fixed the problem.

Best to do a search for shaking since there are multiple items that can cause this, old tires are a likely culprit. Check the FAQ sticky at the top of the page.

Hey, I had the same problem on my 626, I replaced the air filter, cleaned the throttle body, new throttle body gasket, and after that the car is running fine.
Maybe its time for a tuneup: spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, etc..
The shaking at 75 mph is probably your tires are bad, i replaced mine and the shaking stoped. Maybe u need an allignment also. hope this helps.

i didnt have temp problems i was just told that that sensor regulates the flow of gas to your engine somehow based on the temp of the engine(like when its cold it tells the computer or something that it needs more gas to start.)
