Hey guys,

I just installed 2 new O2 sensors in a hope of passing my emissions test.

After resetting the ECU and going for a drive, I noticed that my air/fuel gauge was reading rich all the time (even when idling and coasting).

Any ideas why this may be happening?

Thanks in advance.

did you get th 02 sensor with the plugs or did you splice them in? Check your other sensors as well, including VAF:ewink:

Does the A/F gauge use it's own sensor or tap into the OEM one? How does the car run, can you tell it's running rich? Maybe the gauge is inaccurate?:ewink:

Iit taps into the OEM one - the wire is plugged right into the diagnostic box. And fuel consumption when I bought and installed the gauge 2 years ago was fine, it has just dropped off drastically recently.

I can't tell the car is running rich, but the fuel gauge is definitely dropping fast even with the new O2 sensors.

Not that it is all that important, but I have noticed an improved throttle response with the new sensors (which in my mind means they are working as they should).

I would suggest checking temperature sensor and VAF, plugs and wires, cap and rotor as well.
