Well, I saw the new Dodge challenger today and the only thing I can say is what a fat piece of shit. It reminds me of the nickname the B-52 bomber got which is the buff or big ugly fat fucker and in the case of the challenger it should get the same nickname. :V

B-52 is also one of the greatest, most capable, timeless aircraft ever made. BUFF is a very loving name...
I like the new Challenger with a V8 under the hood. The SRT8 in black or orange looks sick.
The one I saw at the Dodge dealer was white which is not the best color for any car and did nothing to hide this cars huge ass end. The new camaro has better over all looks and a slightly better engine package in other words Dodge messed up again.

The car is meant to have a huge ass end, just like the old Challenger.

As for looks, are you kidding me? They made this look just like it was supposed to, while I've taken shits that look better than that clusterfuck called the Camaro. I dont mind the old LS1 Camaro's looks, but this new one looks like they tried to cram 500 styles into one overall peice of shit. The old General Lee Orange color is what is made to go on this car.

In other words, GM messed up once again, as they always do:rolleyes:. Im no big fan of the Challenger, especially the fact that its only available as an automatic this year, but at least they got the retro look down like they were supposed to.

And engine package? Whatever. The Challenger packs a smaller V8 that produces more HP and TQ. And thats just this year. In 09, when the camaro is out, Dodge will offer a smaller V8, along with a V6 option to people that think V6's belong in muscle cars.

Also on that note, the Camaro is also a fat bitch. It weighs in just ~300lbs lighter than the Challenger.

I think the Challanger is the best looking retro car thats come out so far. Hands down.
I agree. Im glad Dodge got it right with this one, after they had that disastrous fuckup with the Challenger. I also thought though that the newe Mustang was a good retro look.

By fat I'm talking about apperance not weight although both cars weigh too much .
I've seen a few around but friday I saw one at the strip.

Honestly it has plenty of power but those huge wheels and lo-pro tires kill any decent launch.

And slapping on some 15's with slicks isnt an option because of the size of the rear brakes.

All cars are getting heavy. I cant believe we can now buy B segment "sub compacts" that weigh over 3'000lbs. Mazda should send us the 2.

Teh new Camaro also has a widebody look.

Which you'd think it would be better at launching, since it has AWD...

What hole have you been living in?
Mazda2 coming to America as Ford Fiesta in 2009 - AutoblogGreen

Granted it will be under Ford's name, but it's still the 2.

what hole did you leave your eyesight in?

BIG difference between this escort looking POS:

and the much sexier as-it-sits mazda 2

and since it made it into ford's hands.. it means it won't be receiving any mazdaspeed treatment.. ie: no mazdaspeed suspension tweaks.. certainly no svt treatment (which is usually suck-ass anyways lol)

so it's doomed to be an ugly pos economy car, instead of a fire breathing go cart. good job mazda

all i know is the challenger will eat my mx6 all day long! and the camaro will also NEED the onstar to call a tow truck haha

Challenger is rear wheel drive.

And ford uglied it up. Best thing ford is doing is bringing the 3rd gen Focus to the states.

It'll still be based on the current mazda 3 and the RS will have a 300 HP turbo 5 banger and the new revo-knuckle front end which sounds interesting.

Still I'd prefer that mazda built a 3 door mazda 3 (MX-3?) so we can get all the usual mazda goodness.

My general dislike of fords interiors aside I'd take anything with the SVT logo attached. Especialy the contour.
