This might not belong in this forum, probably the 1st gen forum. Anyway, I was goin through my old SCC magazines and in the "Spank the STi" (july or august '03) issue, there was a red, 1st gen mx6. It appeared to have all sorts of mods done to it and if i remember right, was for autocross or something. Anyway, I just thought it was cool to see an mx6 in a magazine. Doesnt happen too often. I was also reading in the latest "Turbo" magazine, some guy wrote a letter asking for info on his 626 because he couldnt find any information or mods for it, so I wrote them a letter back telling about mx6.com. hopefully they can send that message on or print it in the magazine. ok im done now and realized this doesnt have anything really to do with racing. sorry

Was it just a paragraph, or like a few pages about it?

Ya, we know about it.

Its a full artical on it. Its titled the Red-headed Stepchild. He is a memeber on here. They messed up some in the info on the engine. They called it the FEZ and said it was a DOHC. You can see clearly in the pic that its a SOHC (F2T).

The owner said that "know one really mods these cars", that kinda got to the 1st geners because theres a lot of us that mod them. I guess he just wanted to get the point accross that know one "makes" anything for these cars. I thought it was a great actical, ever since that artical came out I dont get any races.......:(
The owner also claimed a 220hp and 240ftlbs. The way that these engines are, with 220hp he would have about 300-320ftlbs especially with the Rx7 compressor wheel. With my turbo at 13psi I have 247ftlbs at the wheels. Also on a broken TB boot. Im sure hes runnin about 15psi.

Everytime I see that pic of the engine, it tells me that I really need a bigger radiator. I dont have any room though, I cant even fit my stock radiator. Its really wedged in there.

I think the quote was "no one frickin' builds these cars", not modding them. Which is true, if you try to consult random tuner shops, they won't have a clue about the car. A lot of people casually mod their GTs, but not building strictly for race. At least in comparison with 2g gen guys. You really can't expect to find an F2T guru anywhere, thats why we turn to this site.
