Jumping into my '96 today, I notice there's an exposed warning label sewn on the drivers seat belt just above the floor mount saying "Replace seat belt". Some investigation shows the front belts usually have a slack loop contained in the lower retaining cover. Once used, the loop doesn't return and exposes the warning. The label talks of "optimum performance in conjunction with an airbag" but doesn't suggest its a fatal problem. The PO must have had cause at some point to use the belt for its intended purpose.

Anyone ever notice this before?

Yep most seatsbelts have them, it's a good idea to replace them if it is showing they arent that expensive and it could make a difference in a crash
