does anyone know if the drivers side seat is supposed to spring forward like the passenger's side does when you pull the lever in front of the seat

i wouldnt wish it would, it'd be a pain in the ass wtih the seat slamming into the steering wheel all the time, and being as tall as i am, ( 6 ft 2) it'd be a pain in the ass to have to readjust the seat all the time...
