when i start her up in the mornin after she has completely cooled, she starts smokin, sometimes a little, sometimes alot. its embarrasing, i think i have bad valve seals, are they hard to replace? any help is appreciated.

oh yeah its the big bad 2.0!

Sounds like my life a couple of months ago. Thing is, it might be your vavle seals, but it might also be your rings, or a little of both. You can do your valve seals easily enough, leaving the engine the car while you do it. Just follow the manual on the procedure. This is one way to look at it: try the cheapest way first. Do the valve seals and see if that solves your problem. If it does, great, if not, you would've had to do them anyways. Or you can do what i did and remove the head, and pistons from the block and send em in to get rebuilt. you might as well do some custom head work while you're at it, not much more $. Or you can yank the whole thing and let a shop redo the crank and everything, but that's not cheap. Either way, good luck
