slpopy Shifter linkage

My shifter linkage seems real slopy compared to my Bimmer & VW, Is there a linkage kit that I can buy to tighten it up and where can I source that part. I want to do this while I'm switching engines. Oh, and I purchased a T-belt & H2O pump (it came in a kit) from ebay. Has anyone ever bought and used these products before?

For the shifter linkage, I believe RR Racing makes a bushing kit for that big honking bushing between the linkage and the tranny.

For the shift-rod itself, the little bushings are only like a buck at the dealer (each). There are green ones right at the bottom of your shifter, and white ones where it attaches to the tranny. I replaced both sets with stock ones on my car and it made a noticable difference.

The one other thing that really helped mine was doing the short throw shifter mod using the generic Honda shifter from eBay for like $20 shipped. That shifter didn't take any bushing, so to speak, it was pretty much a solid bolt hole in the bottom of the shifter, and it's tight as all get-out!

The white are for under the shifter, the green are smaller go where the linkage it attaches up front. My B&M short shifter is sloppier than stock because the bushings don't fit as tight as in the stocker.
welp, my bushings under the shifter are the small ones. mine be white/grease colored :p the ones up by the tranny are big and black. I ordered RR-racing ones and they're supposed to be red/orange like in the pics, but he sent me black ones. rr-racing ones are much stiffer than stock and will help reduce your play big time. They are a pain to put on though, so yes, do it when the engine is out and use a C-clamp to push them in. well, it's the center metal cylinder that's a pain to push in because it keeps making one side of the bushings come out unless you have a monster C-clamp and 2 blocks of wood
I should probably do this too, the shifter on mine is so loose it just floats around as if it's not in gear at all, and 1st gear is hard to engage unless you put it in 2nd before you try 1st. Pretty sure the last owner tried to make his own shifter and utterly failed at it and then never bothered to fix it. I found several other half-complete mods in there too like a non-operation police siren & lights lol.

The green ones are for the secondary shift linkage rod. So there are three different types...white ones under the linkage, slightly smaller green ones to connect the two linkage bars, and really large black ones on the end of the stabilizer bar that RR-racing sells in red poly. Check all three.
he may still sell in red poly, but i know mine came in black, but look just the same as the red ones
