Well, saw a rozzer parked up, as I went past doing 29mph })

He pulls out and follows, I'm taking no interest so far..

I pulled up at the house I was going to, and he pulls up at the side of me...

has a "word" regarding my small plate on the front.. I said the immortal word "Import" which seemed to confuse the poor man.. he went on to say about conforming to UK spec etc.. especially with the new forward facing speed camera's

Then I mentioned I had done some research and noticed that if you had a recess, you could fit a small one.. he pipes up about double line jobbys.. I replied the recess was for a single line one..

So he drives forward a few feet and has a shufty, then reverses back up.. by this time, both rozzers are totally blank faced and don't know what to do next..

One of them then said they would have a word with the traffic division and clarify the situation..

Well, I would imagine they have my number, so lets see what happens next, or doesn't })

My double height one that I picked up at Trax either got nicked or fell off at speed this week :(

I've had to resort to fitting my ultra-mini 12" X 3" plate again...

Can anyone get a 12x6 front plate made up for me? I can't find anyone round here that does them.

Cheers for that,

Tried Halfords - very unhelpful old git behind the counter there!
A1StyleGraphix don't do the right size,
SpecialPlates.com look good - I've asked for a quote,
FancyPlates are also looking good - £11 for a 12x6 white with legal text...

John,

I've got a small plate as well, but in SA there is no such thing as if your car has a recess or not you must fit one that is SABS (South African Bureau Of Standards) approved otherwise if the copper had a bad day you will be fined R500.00 per plate now if you work that out it is about 45 Pounds, which is not that bad I guess.

Ken I got a mate that will make any plate for you but its gona cost you more to get the plate to UK that what the actual plate does.

:D :D
