sup everyone,
I finally started my car up today after the installation of the water pump a few days ago, but I seem to ran into a problem. My coolant is pouring out from the resivour when I start it up. I think the thermostat spring (not sure on term, but the opening valve after it goes through the water pump). is no longer functioning so it doesn't open up and causes pressure build up, which kicks out the fluid from the resivour. The car struggle to hold the idle and there is white smoke from the exhaust and also little smoke signal from the engine. I know my head gasket is still good and don't think there's any internal leakage/breakage, so I don't know if it's due to the coolant system being pressurized. Anyone had this problem b4? or have any solution?

Thank you
