Anyone know how or where to obtain the "Self-Diagnosis checker for the MX6? It's the one the Mazda dealers use for checking various systems in the car. It's referred to a lot in the workshop manual. The part number is 49 H018 9A1 if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

if you have a look in the 2ndgen FAQ there is a bit there on codes and testing them. Its basically an LED blinker light, should cost you like 2$ to make and will work just as well as this mazda code thingy

If your car is Pre 94 then you dont need it you just use a paperclip and a 12v lamp but if it was build after mid 94 the computer is the OBDII standard and you can get an OBDII reader from ebay

The "ODBII" 2gens wernt technically a ODBII, so those readers dont work properly, the paperclip trick still works on the 2's though
