Okay...'94 626 LX 4cyl 5spd...every once in a while, I have a problem with the steering. It usually happens coming off an interstate turning right. The wheel just seems to "lock" in place momentarily, losing steering control, then suddenly I regain control and it turns. It is always coming from a higher speed, slowing down, and turning right. I am afraid it will seize one day, and I will end up going straight off the road. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this???

It could possibly be a bad rack. I had car do that once but only when cold and once I turned all the way right and back it was good. But a new rack fixed it up.

same thing

That same thing happens to me. I have fixed a ton of shit and nothing works. However I did just hear that there was a recal on something with that. Call your dealer and have them run your vin, hopeuflly they find something. I know how that is, scarry, when that happens. I am not getting mine fixed because I am selling it next week. Good Luck.
