My '91 mx6 non turbo The transmission is acting up, in that it will seem to go into neutral, and not want to go into drive or reverse. I turn the ignition off, then start it back up, and it will work again for a little while. It is giving me a diagnostic code 06. This is a problem with the Vehicle Speed Sensor. For the life of me, I can not find a speed sensor on this car!!! I had the dash opened up, because AllData showed it to be behind the speedometer, but that seems to be only on the Turbo cars. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I even thought that the pulse generator might be the same as the speed sensor, but it isn't. Transmission does not seem to be slipping. It just goes neutral untill i restart.
I have changed the pulse generator, and the range sensor/inhibitor.

Thanks, Ed

Had the exact same situation back in 2000. FSM said flashing hold light = bad tranny. Changed the transmission and everything was fine again.
