I understand the basics of what each does and how they work, but which one is cheaper to do? I hear that installing a supercharger requires less work and other components. But on a turbo it seems like I need to get a whole bunch of different components(headers, wastegate, pipining, etc) and more labor. Which one is better way to go for a person who wants to add HP but save some money...

I don't know if this will help at all, but at least you can get an idea. http://www.geocities.com/knightturbos/ He has kits for both superchargers and turbos, and i just got an e-mail back from him saying he had an eaton supercharger kit for the 4cly, which would bolt on 50-65 hp, at 5-6psi, so i don't think there would be much of any other work done, he also said if i put on headers and an exhaust on i could see about 200 hp, i don't know if it's for real but i hope so, later!

I've been there many times. What all do I have to add for a supercharger? Does anyone know?
