i opened my hood to replace my alternator only to realize that i melted some wires to my headers....(i know, what a tard)

so i replaced those wires (both of them coming from the alternator) and for some reason my temp gauge does not work, so i cant tell if my engine is to hot now...

i cant figure out why the hell it wont work, and im kinda at a dead end here. any help?:confused:

Look at the end of the fuel injector rails, next to the timing belt cover. You will see two temp sensors. The smaller, rearward, 1-wire sensor is for the gauge. With the ignition on, unplug it, and ground the wire. If the temp gauge goes to Hot, your dash and wiring are working, and the sensor is bad.
