It's most likely a bad sensor but wire connectors could also be loose or oxydized.
Or, it could be.... lol thanks for the input, :tup: i will look into all the possibilites once this monsoon stops out here!!Or, it could be air bubbles in the coolant; when the engine is cold, open the coolant filler cap (next to the oil dipstick) and check it is full to the brim.
Or, it could be a sticking thermostat.
Or, it might be that the fans are malfunctioning intermittently, possibly due to a bad coolant temp sensor.
