Theres a ticking sound comming from my engine, and a few people have commented on it. "You got any oil in that thing?" is what they say.....Well, I just changed oil, and even before I did, there was plenty of oil in it. It doesnt burn oil at all either. Its a 93 ATX. Is it maybe the heat? its has been hot here lately, but to be honest, I really dont think that caused it - maybe made it worse. I really hope it isnt anything big, if any of you guys would know, I would appreciate insight..

it has everything. It is most likely your HLA's on cold start ups. Just part of the car. Read this site and it will explain.

next time put in Mobil 1 5w30. that should help

I had the same problem and last week I put Mobil 1 5w30 and PRESTO......the noise is gone!

Did you change your oil filter as well? What oil did you use.

I used a Fram extra guard, but i just recetly read some bad things about it, so next time I am going to get something different.

Yup....

I use mobil 5w30, always have on that car (the synthetic stuff), but this time I used 10w30.....thinking the thicker stuff would help, but it didnt.....

I HATE the noise, cause it makes it sound......not like I want it too...
and yea I changed the oil filter, I do everytime I change oil, which is 3000-4000mi range..
I think im gonna have it taken in and looked at
