How am I going to know my car timing are correct ?
Is there any method to tell that ?

I would like to adjust timing myself. Does anyone have any webpage that show step-by-step instruction ?
I know that correct timing can boost my HP 1-2% back. Corrrect me if I am wrong.

1) Start the car and ground the TEN pin in the Diagnostic box.
2) Make sure it's idling around 650RPM and that no loads are on it (like the A/C)
3) Loosen the two distributor hold downs a bit and rotate the distributor until the timing light shows 10 degrees BTDC. Tighten the distributor.
4) Remove the TEN jumper.

The timing marks are located on the along the angle of the block at the rear bank by the way.

Where is the second distributor hold down, I can't find it, my haynes manual says nothing about timing adjustment and I need to get this right before I do any real runs with my nos.

G'day bostonmx6
Does that apply to a V6 {KLO3}..Because I'd like to set my timing up correctly too. I'm guessing that the computer will adjust it from this initial setup??
