For drag racing I usually run about 18-20 lbs. of pressure in the front with 40 or so in the rear. If you don't have stiffened engine mounts or upgraded bushing on the suspensions parts you will need to slip the clutch at about 2500 rpm for the launch otherwise you will have a lot of wheel hop.

For auto-xing I try to run aroud 40-44 lbs. of pressure with my 214/45R17s. You don't have a lot of sidewall flex so you need the extra pressure to make sure the tire stays ont he rim properly. Usually it is better to run with a 15 inch rim and more side wall, that way you can run at a lower pressure to get better grip.

BUGGER

That's a real bugger! I just offloaded by 15" rims for $75 AUD (about $35US), and they had 30% tread on them, just enough for a day at the track!
