well man think about this, are u ever going to get springs in the next year, if so get the 45 series tires, u can deal witha gap for a while, i have 215 40 17 and i want to get 215 45 17 the next time i get tries, later man
235/45R17 will really through off you speedometer and trip meter. The proper replacement size would be a 215/40R17 but that usual ends up with bent rims so i've taken to running 215/45R17s. Another problem to look out for is if the width of a 235 will clear the lower mount on the front strut spring perch. My 215/45s barely clear but I'm running a factory offset on the rims so it's realy tight. I think that as long as you are running a 35mm offset or so you should be OK, anything more and I'd be worried about clearence problems.
