If you have the owner's manual for your 1993 mx6, the answer would be on page 4-46. If you don't have the manual, this is what it says:
TO GET FRESH AIR AT FACE LEVEL DURING HEATING OR DEFROSTING, MOVE THE LEVER TO THE UPPER POSITION. THE AIR INTAKE SELECTOR MUST BE ON FRESH AIR (NOT RECIRCULATE) AND THE FUNTION SELECTOR MUST BE SET TO DIRECT AIR TO YOUR FEET, FEET AND DEFROST, OR DEFROST.
So...you may not notice a difference if you are not regularly using your heater or defroster. Art
Thank you sooo much for clearing that up. I didn't get an owners manual with the car and I just couldn't figure it out. We don't use the heater much in Florida, but's it's good to know.. thanks again!
