About 3 months ago i replaced my original Transmision because i pulled the shifter assembly of the tranny (i shift fast...hehe) and now i have this "almost new" one with about 50k miles on it. It was working perfectly till about a week ago when i got a working boost controler and cranked it up to about 12 Psi. Now im having the same problems i had with the original one, third wont go in at high revs (racing) and fifth gear will start whining if i push it foreward. I already searched for answers but i want to know whether replacing the original bushings with urathane will help solve the problem. Or maybe i just ****ed over the shift plate. someone give me some possible solutions.

Do a search for "shift gate". Thats your problem.

Good news: All you have to pay for is trans fluid, lockwashers, and some locktite

Bad news: you have to tear into the tranny. After doing this repair on 3 transmissions thus far, I am lead to believe that it can be performed without removing the transmission completely from the car.
