My friends dad has a velodyne and was using it in his living so my friend said he was going to stick it in his 6 I didnt uderstand since it was the plug in the wall type sub but he explained he was going to get a power converter plug it in there then hook up the rca's thats it! that sounds to easy Can this be done?

Sure but it probably won't sound that great. Home speakers are designed for a different environment than car speakers, especially subs. Not to mention the possibility of picking up a engine wire or a background hum from the power convertor. The component in the Velodyne powered system aren't sheilded against the noisy environment of a car. You never know it might sound great, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I figured he was blowing smoke up my ass but hey what can you expect!
