propane injection? i havent heard of this ;)

water/alch injection is a common way of absorbing heat to cool the intake charge etc... but propane injection reminds me of a big explosion :) please explain.

I've only herd of propane injection on diesel engines but I suppose it could work on gas engines too.

it cools the intake charge and adds a little extra fuel.

I dont currently run it but I will. I plan on hitting the dyno and turning up the boost till I lean out and back off a bit. Then I will get a water injection kit from these guys

And run that as an intercooler. Its good because I am not reeling on it as an intercooler so if I run out of water it wont go boom. But it will still add power. THe good thing about these kits is they not only lower the intake temps but they increase the octane as well. The best part, all you need is windshield washer fluid with methanol. most fluids over the counter have 50% water 50% methanol. So just fill your reservoir at every gas fill up and your golden.

Even cooler yet look what you can get for those track days

2f2f should never be used as a legitimate reference for anything technical :D

I dont think Propane would work in low compression engines, I know high compression diesels use it. I know of 2 people in my area that run both Nitrous and Propane on there diesels.
