Might be a silly question, but I don't know what it is, and I'd like to know what that red wire is and what it connects to, so I can, ya know, connect it to something.

Looks like one of those dealer installed security system, Silencer is one Co that makes em... There would be a circuit board "key" that goes in there, if thats what it was and it was still functional, the car wouldnt start w/out it.
