I always thought it was stock until I posted picts of my car here....but someone here said it's an accord-like spoiler?

It fits so well I thought it was stock....... any ideas? Thanks...

The brake light works and has a bunch of LED's in it, then it's clear when it's off....

Just wondering if anyone knew the brand, style, etc? I'm clueless when it comes to these things...

It's just a basic aftermarket spoiler, they have no middle pedestal but do have the brake light. It's been a while since I have seen one, but I remember looking for one when my wing was all rotted out (pre-90's had a foam wing, 90+ had a metal one). All I could find was the one like yours. I saw one on the road once and it was sagging in the middle b/c there was no support. I tried a quick internet search for whoever it was that made it but I can't find it. Wings West sells one but it looks exactly like a stock wing.

a spoiler on a dx? that makes me jealous. Anyway man, middle support or not it seems like yours looks fine, which is sweet. I think the spoilers give these cars a real nice look. The stock one is nice and yours does not go overboard with the leds.

Interesting..I had that exact spoiler on my 1986 626 Turbo Coupe back in 1990 lol..They look a bit better on the 626 IMO but don't get me wrong it still looks good on the mx6.

This one's made out of ABs plastic I believe....

I didn't know a whole lot about these cars when I bought it, other than "problem areas" to look for...that's why I didn't even know that the DX's didn't come with a spoiler stock.. :) Thanks guys.

I think that spoiler looks awsom!!!! If you ever want to I'll trade you my stock spoiler (give me your paint code and I'll prime and paint it for you to the colour of your car), and a little bit of money, for that one you have (somehow I don't think you will...lol). I really need a spoiler that looks stock but dosn't have the middle thing, because when the tree fell on my car it landed on the spoiler and dented the trunk in right around the middle part. So I want to remove the stock spoiler and get some body fill and sand paper, then fill in the dent until its smooth with the rest of the trunk, then sand it down nice and good and paint it. Then I wanted a stock looking spoiler without the middle part so I wouldn't have to bolt the spoiler into the body fill area.
I really wish they still sold spoiler replacements like that. I really love the way the middle brake light is.

Stock spoilers has MAZDA imprinted into the under side on the right. I don't remember my first '88 having that, and my recent '88 definately had a cheap after-market replacement put on, but I have found several 90-92 at the junkyard with the imprint.
