i have a 93' 4 banger, 70,000miles. automatic trans
i was wondering what other engines i can put in my car, and whats the fastest engine.

u currently have a fsd. The jap engine fsze is the fastest for 2.0 owners. its rated at 170 hp, enough to keep up with or maybe take all mx6 v6s. U can pick up a engine at http://www.usedengines.com for about 850. Oh, and while u do the engine swap, i guess u might as well do the atx to mtx swap.

what is the difference between the factory engine in my mazda and the fsze? and could i just convert my engine to this?

To buy the engine is much cheaper than to but the parts from the JSpec motor. they Jspec will have less miles on also. more horsepower stock at 170hp.
Also while you are at it swap out the auto for a 5spd or upgrade the auto you have, Level 10 maybe. anyway, later

Yeah if you want to do an engine swap with an engine more powerful go and purchase the jap engine fsze motor (170 hp) and while you're at it get rid of that atx and switch to an mtx. You can find the fsze motor at this site as well http://www.corksport.com
