They'll fit, and I'm sure the offset is the same. I may buy a set of 94 PGT rims for my car.

they fit like a champ, but the 225's (standard on probe gt) will not fit in our wheel wells. they will rub the strut in the rear, found that out the hard way. now i am running 205's with no problems.

thanx, now that i know its a hard coice - the 95-96 or 94-95 wheels, oh well. just a thought, in front 205 in the back 225? would that work? or maybe 215 back?

the 225's will fit the front. they will not fit the back, but i do belive 215's will fit back there. i think though you would want all the tires to be of matching size. that way you can still rotate them for even tread wear.

Man, you're gonna spew at this:

When I picked up my wheels (15" alloys off a 1st gen MX6 4WS) from the scrapyard, I saw a set of 2nd gen Probe wheels for AU$400 for the set.

I got mine for AU$200. :)

What about with stock springs?

Will 16x7 wheels with 225/50-16 tires fit on a 1st gen if I'm still running the original (non-lowered) springs?

(I think I have the plus-1 size right. 195/60-15 to 225-50-16...)

Blind Freddie, I see you own a '90 626 and you want to know what tire is the widest you can put on your car. With the factory offset rims, you can put a 215/60 tire and still have around 1/8 th of an inch to clear. When you start changing the aspect ratio etc. you may find other sizes to fit. Don't try the mentioned 225 mm tires on stock rims. I am certain they will not work.....
