My car has an L4 how is that different than the I4????? I heard it has soomethin to do with turbo???

They are so different that they are the same. Both designations mean inline 4 cylinder. Where all four cylinders of your engine are one behind the other in a line. The only other configuration is horrizontally opposed also called H4 (like subaru's). A V4 is near impossible to make and work right in a car.
