Hey everyone,
I'm just wondering what type of oil everyone uses here, and what can be recommened?

As of right now, I use Castrol GTX 10w30 for my 2.5L V6.
Oh yeah, I guess I should add that my car has 206,000KM on it

Amsoil or Mobil one and a Mazda oil filter on my ZE

I use Royal Purple 5w30 and a Mobile 1 M2-107 Corvette oil filter.

Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30 and K&N oil filter... oil is only $3.43 a quart at WalMart

I ran mobile 1 for the longest time but they went and changed the formula. Whatever they did made my car tickey so I changed over to royal purple.

Was this when Mobil went to the TriSyn formula? That stuff did the same to me and I switched to Amsoil. Mobil dropped the TriSyn and now its back to being a full synthetic. If you haven't tried Mobil1 lately, you may want to look into it.

Anyway, I'm using Mobil 1 5w-30 with Mazda OEM oil filter.

Yea that was when they did the try syn deal. I didnt know they switched back. I will have to look into that caus that royal purple is spendy stuff!

I saw some side by side comparisons of Mobil 1 vs Amsoil on VWvortex. Amsoil definately proved to be the superior in these tests. I use it when I can get ahold of it. Otherwise I run Mobil 1
