Hi there,

I'm in need of some winter tires and it seems like there are not many choices for the stock tire size (205-55-15).

Can any of you recommend a brand?

Can any of you recommend a reasonable place to get these in the Toronto/Kitchener area?

Many thanks,
Oliver

I had Nordic IceTracs. Great tire, and cost around $450 for my 16" stock size. I would reccomend them for sure!

www.tiretrends.com

They are a CANADIAN company and are in Vancouver. I have purchased MANY sets from them now and they are GREAT! They get to me in Calgary in less then 36hrs....

For winters i have purchased Pirelli Winter 210's and they are INCREDIABLE! VERY long lasting, tons of performance, and stick to ice. A little weaker in deep snow then they are on ice but you should be taking it easy in the deeper snow anyways!

I found myself going hard into deserted corners because i wanted to see if i could make them spin out! So much confidence.

I have also gotten the Hancook winter ones and they are nice, not as nice, but still worth their considerably lower price!

Good luck!

Thanks.

I'm hoping to stick with the OEM tire size and Canadian Tire/Nordic does not have anything in this size.

The thing is my All-Seasons are at their end and I'm thinking of getting winter tires and then just continuing to drive on them next spring/summer/fall. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to keep the car so I don't want to get another set of all-seasons next spring...

I could go to 195/60R15 but I'm hoping to avoid that.

Best I found was Dunlop Graspic DS-1 for 105.88 + $10 shipping from TireTrends + installation somewhere...

I'm going to try some local shops to see if they can beat this...

Thanks again for your help and if you have any other suggestions, let me know...
