Holy crap...I shoulda known all the NW peeps would be stoners. We should make our spring meet a hempfest...although we'd prob get in accidents with each other on the way...

BTW bubbler hits + Monkeyball 2 = funniest videogame experience ever.
EDIT: I had to change what i said. I have hotpockets.

Good lord, am I the only non-stoner in this region??? BTW, my g/f and I are going to Sunday Brunch at one of the little local vinyards here. Any recommendations on wine or champagne choice?

hmm...i don't believe I've ever experienced anything from a Vinter in OR. My personal favorite is Carpineto Chianti....especially with italian food :D yumeeeeeeeeeyum.

Reisling is a good choice for light foods....if they offer it. It's a little on the dry side, but not bittersweet like some light wines tend to be.

For us it was Alberto's 24 hour mexican food. Once in a great while I'll go past that old Alberto's down the street from my old house. Giant burritos for 3 bucks. Sometimes, one of us would have a joint left, and we'd trade the cooks for food.

sav blancs are great with pork, fish, chicken & seafood...even w/ breakfast foods or just fruit...

my fav reds are spicy cab's, great with red meat, pasta, & cheese dishes.

but as far as local wines down there..I have no clue.8D

It's at the Eola Hills Vinyard and Winery. I'm not much of a drinker, so I was hoping for something light and fruity maybe??? 20 bucks a plate, but you get all you can eat of omlettes, t-bone, filet minion, grilled oysters, all that good stuff. Oh, and of course your choice of wine or champagne while you dine!!! My g/f likes to consider us cultured, so I'll try not to hog out or get shit faced.

^ Thats the sav blanc holmes...if you want a great one- try Kim Crawford's Sav-B of New Zealand. QFC, Trader Joe, and even some Safeways carry it now for $14-22 depending where you find it. I first had it at the Chef's of Seattle Gala last year, served to me by the general manager of Union sq grill.

that was such a posh dinner, silent auction & live one during the dinner. Each table is bought by a sponsor (fund raising event for American Liver foundation) and there were 20 of Seattle's best chefs. They use a lottery system to assign each table a restaurant where the head chef presents each meal (of a 5 course meal) w/ a different wine for every dish. Was fucking awesome. My fav was that wine & lime/avacado fused oil drizzled over warm goat cheese and melba toast. So damn good.

i think the chef had a crush on my woman.

He didn't try to get you all drunk on the wine and run away w/ her, did he?

Also that sound's like a very, very nice place to go out to.

It was at the new Hyatt downtown, took up the entire (enormous) lobby & 3 of the convention rooms. I was personally hoping to get Assagio's chef, but with someone else paying the $295/per person- bill, I couldnt complain really.:D

Exaclty. We both knew he had the crush, so we asked for more of that crawford wine all night, and the love-sick chef wrapped up a bunch of food to take home for us.
