Hey guys, sorry to beat a dead horse, reanimate it, and beat it to death again, but I've got a question about an intake. I'm working on a custom CAI for my 4-cyl and I'm wondering if a 2" diameter pipe would be wide enough, or would it be to restrictive. Any help would be most appriciated.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured that if a 2.5" pipe worked best for your vehicle which has a higher displacement and much more power, 2" would be about right for me. Any discenting opinions?

I guess I'm doin' a Hotshot type. I'm using PVC pipe. I plan to use a K&N cone filter, but I'm not sure what size I need. It should have a 2" inlet, but I could work out some kind of an adapter if I end up getting a 2.5" inlet filter. I went to my local speed shop and after trying to sell me a Weapon R intake, the guy told me that a K&N cone would cost me close to $70!!! What size are you using? Do you know what size would be appropriate for my application? What can I expect to pay?
