I took a little journey to the pull a part this morning and found a front ended Kia Sportage, from I believe 2000. It had of course the Kia FE3 and it also had what looked to be a COP/EDIS type of ignition. It had two ignition modules over two plugs, then it had one lead coming off of both modules to the other plugs. It was weird. I also saw something that surprised me. This Kia had FE3N intake and exhaust cams!! So guess what I snagged up?
The exhaust cam was stamped K013, but is the same as the FE3N. The only difference in the numbering system, is that the K013 cam is for the distributorless ignition system. At the end of the exhaust cam it was keyed and there was a camshaft position sensor.
So there you go.
Compnut has the cams and the ignition modules, so if he could post some pics, that would be awesome.
